Meet Your Library Media Technology Specialist

Hello! I'm Marcie Johnson and I'm so excited to be the Lowell Library Media Technology Specialist. My role includes helping students find library books, teaching REACH, and supporting students and teachers with technology in the classroom. I am always willing to support teachers and students; I can help with the following:

  • Recommending and finding new books, series, and authors
  • Providing tech support
  • Chromebook repairs and troubleshooting
  • Using Classlink apps and online programs
  • E-book, audiobook, database access from home
  • Research skills
  • Makerspace needs

I LOVE reading and can always be found with a book or two nearby. My favorite types of books are historical fiction, narrative non-fiction, and picture books that promote diversity and social-emotional learning. I have a background in engineering, so I am passionate about increasing students' engagement with STEAM. I enjoy spending time outdoors gardening and I love to travel with my family to explore our country's amazing national parks.
